Max Walters, the former chairman of both the International Polocrosse Council (IPC) and the Australian Polocrosse Association, passed away on the morning of the 23rd November. He had been suffering from cancer for a while, and in fact discharged himself from hospital in order to attend the World Cup in 2007.

Max was very much the ‘Grandfather’ of Polocrosse, and had been Chairman of the Australian Polocrosse Association for many years, before Peter Crawford took over. Max was also the first Chairman of the IPC, and held that position for many years.

He has been a great supporter of UK polocrosse over the years. The UKPA and the Polocrosse community internationally have lost a great and dear friend.
