UK Suffer a Tough First Day in South Africa
The UK Under 25 teams suffered a tough first day in South Africa as the ladies team lost by 10 goals to the South African ladies, though apparently the scoreline slightly flattered South Africa, while the men went down 33-12. However, reports from the UK camp is that the team and their coach Tom Simkin are not disheartened by the results and will look to build on them in the next few days.
The South African teams are very strong, featuring a number of World Cup winners, and the UK has sent a relatively young and inexperienced side who will undoubtedly improve as the tournament progresses and they get over their initial nerves.
