Sponsors Sign up for the Polocrosse Extreme Cup
The clothing company OJ Polo, the equestrian magazine Your Horse and the Retraining of Racehorses organisation have all signed up to sponsor the forthcoming Polocrosse Extreme Cup and UK vs USA test match series. OJ Polo will be on site with a trade stand displaying their range of customisable team polo shirts and casual clothing and will also sponsor one of the playing grades in the Cup itself, while Your Horse will be a media partner for the event, giving it coverage in its magazine and on its website in the run up to the event. Retraining of Racehorses will contribute prizes for the best retrained racehorses in the competition.
This is the second venture into polocrosse sponsorship for OJ Polo, who also sponsored the UK team’s playing shirts at last year’s world cup. Your Horse have given polocrosse events coverage over the last few years but this is the first time they have officially partnered one. Retraining of Racehorses have contributed prizes to the UKPA for the last few years for the best ex-racehorses in various polocrosse competitions.
Imogen Johnson, Deputy Editor of Your Horse magazine, said. “Over the past few years we’ve watched polocrosse grow in popularity across the UK and Your Horse is delighted to be supporting such an exciting sport in the run up to its UK v USA test match event. There aren’t many equestrian sports that are as accessible as polocrosse – absolutely anyone can have a go and with hard work and determination it’s possible for anyone to make it to the top, which is so inspiring for riders who might be looking to give it a go. The upcoming test event in Newmarket will be a great opportunity for people to watch some of the world’s best polocrosse players compete – members of Your Horse team will be there cheering on our team and if you can make it we’d definitely recommend that you do too!”
