Rumours Grow That Jess Jolly Will Replace Suzette Thomas for Australia
Though there has been no official announcement from the Polocrosse Association of Australia, rumours are that it will be Jess Jolly of Victoria who is to be called up to replace the former Australian polocrosse captain Suzette Thomas, who was removed from the World Cup squad two weeks ago.
Jess has been previously capped for Australia at the Quadrangular in 2009 and the choice would really be between her and the other two original squad members, Leanne Polglasse, who is now apparently pregnant, and Lizzie Lyster, who is considered too inexperienced by some and also, as she is Suzette’s sister, might not accept a call up anyway. There were rumours that Suzette might be re instated in the squad but nothing definite has been heard on that story either.
