The UK might be in the depth of winter but that doesn’t stop polocrosse players starting to make plans for next year and it seems 2016 will see a new club formed in the UK as the UK’s World Cup captain Debbie Harris has announced she is leaving the Welsh Dragons and starting a new club called the Three Counties Polocrosse Club. The Three Counties is a term for the combined area of the counties of Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire, which are also home to the polocrosse clubs Ledbury, Cotswold ( who are both in Gloucestershire) and Highlanders (who have their base in Worcestershire). Debbie leaves the Welsh Dragons after three seasons with the club which saw it able to field A grade teams for the first time in a number of years, with a high point of achieving second place in the A grade at the UK National Championships in 2014. We don’t know who else will be joining Debbie at her new club but when we do hear we will keep you all informed!
