The New Zealand Polocrosse Association have named a 12 person squad for the Quadrangular Tournament to take place in New South Wales in April. The squad includes five of the players who represented their country at the last World Cup and also a few other familar names.

From the last World Cup Squad Casey Mullany, Shane Hill, Dean Gower and Sue Gower all return to the first choice squad, with Calley Mullany named as one of four non-travelling reserves. The squad is dominated by players from the King Country Polocrosse club; Sue, Casey, Calley and Dean all come from King Country and, in addition, Tracey Swan of King Country has got a recall to the New Zealand ladies section. Finally Gary Malcolm getting a call up as one of the mens’ non travelling reserves has meant that of the 12 players, 7 hail from King Country club.

Nicky Schrafft and Russell Tye also return to the full New Zealand squad, with Laura Dempster and Steve Watson being the other two reserves. There is no place in the team for any of the former UK players Rick Murray, Beth Peaker and Gemma Murray, who were all named in the original long list of players from which the final team was selected.
